It is good that Madeleine's case seeks to highlight this menace.There were cases before the iron curtain coming down, of wealthy people kidnapping babies and toddlers from eastern countries and raising them as their own. This is cruel and heartbreaking for the parents. In the case of Madeleine's parents, they have really been through the mill and are sustained with fortitude by their faith and the love of the people around them.

That child, and the nine months that Kate had her in her womb are precious memories of a child snatched by someone who had no right to take her away from loving parents and plunge her into an artificial life. At some stage she has to be found-her DNA as belonging to her parents, will be identified and those are the parents who bore her, nurtured her and cared for her, who endured sleepless nights while she cried.Notwithstanding criticism from people who said she should not be left alone, with which I agree, I think sometimes we forget there are times when we have all left children for a few minutes-to answer the door or take a phone call for example-they were the people who presented her to the church for baptism and whose child she is in the sight of God. The people who know where she is-on your conscience-tell the parents, her true parents. Od course those who have her now will love her too, but what they have done is evil-to remove the child from her parents. If you are frightened, arrange to leave your child with your local catholic church. Retribution is not sop much an issue as returning Madeleine to her real parents. the Catholic church's teaching, I believe, is that children should have the right to be brought up by their blood mother and father, the people who made her, in love.

By that very fact, you must send Madeleine back and seek help and consolation and confession for what you did. It is evil and wrong to do this. It has completely robbed two young children for growing up with their complete family and Madeleine's true family will never give up on her. Please do the right thing, which is of God and give her back. Taking a child from her true family is not of God-is of someone else. If you are a family member of the family who have Madeleine, a family of a school friend, a friend or aquaintance-someone who has recently moved into your vicinity or neighbourhood with a six year old child who speaks good English, contact Madeleine's website -even anonymously and tell them where she is, precisely if you can-or suspect. The police believe she is in Portugal and the video gives more details. This could also apply to France or to any European country.

Look at your neigbour's six year old child. Does she have the fleck in the eye? Does she have a knowledge of English, could she be Madeleine Mccann?

Hello Everyone! I have hit a very busy few days at the moment because of training people for exams, and this week particularly has been busy. I was in London on Monday and in Wales last night and am really tired this morning. I shall probably paste something a bit more substantial tomorrow when I have time off in the morning!

St Julius Julianus of Caerleon Inscribed Stone Developments

I have heard back from the Gwent Record Office re-the person who can help me with the location of the bones of St Julian at Tredunnock , where the inscribed tombstone is situated.More interesting the pathway from the river to theChurch is called Via Juliana so we may find something here.Again, it needs time and a visit. Still only in the last phase of the exams.

There are various places I would love to visit, but the middle of a fuel crisis is not the time. If anyone reading has photos of any of these places I would be grateful. I am hoping to make a pilgrimage to St Winefride's Well soon and praying for help with my leg, but want all strikes etc. to be over.

It seems that Gerry and Kate are in Strassbourg (Twinned with Leicester) to talk to politicians about the Europe Wide Amber Alert System for missing children. I hope they are successful and that they find Madeleine very soon.In spite of all searches there is no body and that can only be good.

Bridgend Suicides

It seems a friend of one of the ast victims has died mysteriously on holiday by falling off a balcony. I wonder whether it is time to have some sort of exorcism. This can't be right that so many have died, seemingly people who have not been depressed or have any reason to do this terrible thing.

My Son the Eco Warrior

My son is driving me mad. He has gone made recycling etc and I have stuff all over the place. He comes in and tells us off if we have not put the rubbish in the correct baskets and then sifts through everything. I must add I have been recycling for yonks with separate bins for the paper and for plastics and tins. I now have a smelly bin for waste food etc at the back. Actually I could cope if he did not talk ALL the time about global warming, which both alarms and bores me. Unfortunately there comes a time when you are past caring!

Now he has started doing washing with eco washing powder!!!He has got fabric conditioner though. My delicious Heinz Baked beans are now Organisc beans with the taste taken out.My husband and myself feel we are being taken over. Luckily he is nice and kind and still at 16 goes to Mass, so I hope it is a phase. What I would like is that he would do all the recycling but not talk about it all the time. Perhaps it was a mistake to get him to do GCSE Geography.......................

Only weeks away to May 3rd !........Dear Madeleine McCann

It seems amazing that it has been almost a year since little Madelein went missing. A small three year old from a Catholic family, who has simply disappeared without trace. There are interesting facts 'feeding' this mystery. Government help, the father as a High profile heart surgeon, but who also acted as a research scientist in the Netherlands in 2003, the year Madeleine was conceived, after five years of trying . It is distressing for the family to have aspects of the case debated and speculated on. The McCanns had an audience with Pope Benedict, who blessed her picture, and with many heads of state around the world. WhatCAN have been the motive for her abduction. It is clear her Mum and Dad are innocent of wrongdoing, I do not believe she is in the clutches of evil people. No trace of her has been found, but hundreds of 'sightings' most of them 'dead certs' and then another child's picture is produced to 'disprove'it-often with varying success-that is from people believing it. Lurid untrue headlines in some of the press? When have we ever known the like of it on this scale?

There are two main possibilities I think - close to the hearts of people evil enough to do this
1) REVENGE- for some slight, for something which was done before and for which someone felt injured.
2)HOSTAGE-for the pioneering research into DNA perhaps?For plain MONEY?
3)BLACKMAIL-for something to be kept secret, which someone does not want revealed?

I am sure the police are looking into all these angles to find little Maddy.G and K are busy doing work for other parents of Missing children, like poor little Yeremi Vargas, his mother walking around Madrid with home photocopied pictures of her little boy, begging people to take them. She wasn't given the help to find him, not even when she saw him in some child porn films.Why can't governments get a grip on this? It is just too awful to think of in a sorrowful broken world. We must really keep our eyes on the positive.No traces have been found, G and K believe she is alive and if there is a background motive, I hope it has been sorted out so that this little darling can come home to Mum and Dad.

Strengthen all those in suffering with the virtues of faith hope and Love and also with endurance.Support those who wait for news and protect the little ones who suffer and have suffered at their hands. You know what they have done.

Those who have left this earth and are with you, pray for their parents and families, and victims and families of all those who have died at the hands of those taken over by evil wrongdong.

The Potuguese police will be interviewing the friends not Madeleine's parents>

'Press Assoc. Portuguese police are to visit the UK next week to re-interview the friends of Kate and Gerry McCann.

Officers are expected to arrive in Britain on April 7 but they will not interview the couple, whose four-year-old daughter Madeleine disappeared from the Portuguese resort of Praia da Luz on May 3 last year.

Instead Portuguese detectives plan to sit in while officers from Leicestershire Constabulary interview their friends.

A spokeswoman for the British force said: "Leicestershire Constabulary will be coordinating the execution of the request for mutual legal assistance made by the Portuguese authorities.

"The Portuguese authorities have asked that the contents of the request and the way it is being executed be kept confidential so as not to prejudice their ongoing investigation."

It is almost 11 months since Madeleine disappeared from the holiday resort of Praia da Luz.

St Patrick of Ireland, run up to Holy Week

I recently came across this 'Confession' of St Patrick, which was written by the Irish Bishop in Latin and is very moving.

I Patrick, a Sinner, the most unsophisticated of men, the least among all Christians, and to many, the most contemptible of men. I am the son of the Deacon Calpornius, and he was the son of the Priest Potit, who belonged to the village on Babbavenn Taburniae (in the Ancient Kingdom of Gwent boundaries)Indeed, near it he had a small estate, from where, at sixteen years of age I was captured. I was ignorant of the true God then,along with thousands upon thousands of others ,I was taken as a captive to Ireland. We deserved it, or we had turned our backs on God , and did not keep his commandments, and we did not listen to our priests, who kept on warning us regarding our Salvation. And so the Lord God poured down on us the heat of his anger and dispersed among us many peoplesright 'out to the very ends o the earth'where now my smallness is seen among the men of a foreign land.

And there the Lord God opened his understanding to my unbelief, so that, however late, I would become conscious of my failings. Then, remembering my need,I could turn my heart ot gOD. For it was He who looked on my lowliness and had mercy on the blindness of my young years, who looked after me before I knew him, or before I gained wisdom of could distinguish between good and evil:indeed as a father consoles his son, so he protected me.

So it would be neither right nor proper for me to do anything but to tell you all of the many blessings and great grace which the Lord saw fit to give me in the Land of my Captivity. Itell you these things because that is hwo we give thanks to God, that after having been corrected and come to an awareness of God, that we glorify and bear witness to his wonderful works in the presence of every nation under heaven.


Truly lovely Confessions-more tomorrow.

Today is another trip to London. It feels cold outside because of windchill, but we escaped the hurricand and the golden daffodils are stilling breathing out their scent. Yesterday I caught a really stong smell of them after the rain and it was so wonderful-I nearly stopped breathing! How wonderful. Makes you stop and think how such a scent is a completely free gift, like Faith-a supernatural gift rom God-and what a privilege to be chosen to have faith.It means we have the grace of God to move us and help us, we have the Holy Spirit to help us in our actions and conscience 'which moves the heart and turns it to God-and away from harness of heart,and the Spirit also makes it easy to discern the true and brave and right way to go, when we are swayed in spiritual combat.In the boxing match that goes on every day in your soul=right actions against wrong ones of course we all fail from time to time, but suddenly as in that sudden scent of daffodils and narcissi, that ecstatic moment of beauty we are retrieved by Him who made us and by Him who loves us, and has known us from our conception and knew us in our mother's womb. Some heady security that! Driving into Monmouthshire along the M4, daffodils are everywhere, the pride of Wales, the brightness of Christ, thousands of little lights and suns to remind us of heaven.

Haut de la Garenne Latest: police have broken through to the second room and found more evidence of evil. Words fil me today.Important to distribute and pray the prayer of st Michael to war off depression over such evil and protect little ones. Today there was a report on TV about young teenage girls forcible married to men in foreign lands. How can parents do this, any more than leaving a young girl to take drugs and be alone to be a victim of a terrible attack and murder? Cruelty has many forms, all of it aligned to hard hearts.In the case of the Jersey Children's Home, the Chief police officer has complained about corrupt ex officers who turned away children trying to complain. Disgusting.Poor poor babies!

Madeleine McCann-more weird press stories to chill the soul. I wish they would end this now and simply present her back. People just don't believe it any more and just want her returned to her family.

Brrr! Winter is setting in , when it should be Spring!

Very cold here today and there is a thick layer of frost on the fields and hedgerows, and, incidentally the car!! Yesterday I finished my serialised podcast of The Life of St David, by the tenth century monk Ricemarsh. It is funny how even down all the years the love for this man shows through, in spite of the fact, that the tale is rife with stories and Celtic symbols, lewd women, saints riding on dolphins and bees wanting to get to Ireland and of course St David's levitation at Llandewi Brefi. David was a great defender of the Church,which is probably the reason for Pope Callixtus's canonisation in the twelfth century when they began the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. Earlier saints were acclaimed by the vox populi, the people around them acclaiming them, as happened to St Patrick, however I would be interested to hear from any experts on the Celtic Saints, to understand why David had 'All the monarchy'. Was this perhaps that the monarchic lines in Wales seemed to all rest in genealogies which go back to the sister of the virgin Mary. Of course-this would give them Mary's blood perhaps.However we know St Joseph of Arimathea founded a church in Glastonbury-that 'holy hot spot'in the first century Ad, sent primarily by Peter after Pentecost with St Philip to Northern Europe. These twelve disciples are likely to have been members of Jesus own 'human family' and we know Jesus was connected to Joseph of Arimathea who was his Uncle. Joseph was the merchant who often sailed away to Northern Europe trading as recent finds after he landslip in Tintagel have found artefacts from 1st century Middle East.So could the amazing truth possibly be that the 'monarchy is directly connected to a direct bloodline to the family of the Virgin? I guess there are a lot of 'ifs' and a great deal of legend-but it is possible.If so it would be an amazing story-possibly the link was broken with the Saxon invaders?? Of course we can never be 100% sure.

Boards have been buzzing with photos of Madeleine McCann in some market place on the back of what looks like an Oriental looking woman and in another seems the face of a Mccann friend is prominent-again carried on the back. Of wourse we don't know whether this ia another photo we have been fed and another child produced in a few years presented as the 'real' child in the video. I am open on the subject.However sensationally is what appears to be the face of a family friend who has been 'recognised' by many. I can't comment as I think it is odd not to pass such a photo-or set of photos to Scotland Yard, but I continue to be hopeful.

Haut de LA Garenne former children's home in Jersey-the dig goes on and there is very little new news as yet.The BBc have recorded the experiences of two former abused children on their website.Police are investigating another bricked-up room of about the same size which adjoins the cellar, and possibly a third, after phone call from a member of the public.
On Friday 29 February they discovered a "trap door" - a space in the floor above the cellar. They also began examining floor plans, said to be about 100 years old, handed to them by a member of the public. These seemed to show the basement area was at one time at ground floor level.
Police plan to investigate another bricked-up room of about the same size which is next to it, and perhaps a third, after a member of the public contacted police.
As the search continues archaeologists are checking to see if rubble and debris were brought in from elsewhere for use as in-fill by builders.
Two more people have come forward claiming to be victims of abuse at the former Haut de la Garenne children's home , who had made "allegations of serious sexual crimes". How grisly, and how awful they had no one to turn too. It reminds you of the Dickens public Schools in 'Nicholas Nickleby' and of course David Copperfield. Whilst attitudes to children have changed enormously in the last 30 years, thanks to the Childrens' Act and it used to be common to beat children years ago. What makes this horrific is the sexual abuse in the pool, the alleged collusion of Establishment figures and the fact that former victims are being threatened according to polic reports.

Today I read as well about nine year old children with guns and young teenagers peddling drugs in playgrounds. Why has no one got a grip??

I found this about Welsh settlers in Patagonia, which is part of Argentina. Fascinating that they are proud o their Celtic roots. I think they were frightened o the Aborigines in the beginning but are now happily settled there and foster many cultural links with Wales. I think many Male Choirs have visited there.
The Welsh settlers chose Patagonia. They contributed to its progress and development and they became argentine, without losing their Celtic roots. And they were able to prove it during year 1902 when Argentina and Chile had a conflict for the Valley 16 de Octubre: when asked for their preferences, the Welsh said: "We have lived under the protection and sovereignty of Argentina; we are loyal to this lands, native for many of us". Bridgend suicides . Madeleine McCann-Psychics

It seems that the police have made some progress in establising all these tenagers were linked through other friends etc. There was also some feed back in the papers about young people from Bridgend saying it is a great place to be and that a lot of what was written about the town was not true. It is not a rich town, but I think you have to worry about spiritual deprivation of young people. Not allowed to be taught about God at school (after primary school level it seems)they take comfort, if their messages of commemoration are to be believed in a 'happier place up there''with the angels' etc. Can it be that all the dumbing down of Christianity has not worked? That these youngsters are desirous of a God and afterlife-but want it now, in the true way of the twenty first century. Why, do they not rebel against this evil, evil culture of destroying themselves (and incidentally their families too, who by all accounts are loving and deeply distressed as you can imagine) We all have our crosses to bear in this life, and spiritual strength from the Eucharist, the Word and the people who make this a reality on earth, those near and dear to us, all make life joyful even when there is an odd 'dark night of the soul' or in the vernacular:

We have to 'Pick yourself up, dust yourself down and start all over again'!Not equipping children and young people spiritually is leaving them defenceless and weak in a deeply despairing world and lead them away from beauty and truth into dark regions.

It seems psychics are drawing attention to the West Country and camping and caravansites. It would be a good guess in any case. Who looks twice at the families of travellers. I wish that someone would spot her somewhere. On each occasion the person guarding her at a sighting has always been claimed to be unkempt and untidy and could well be a very good idea of hiding her in a caravan. I think the time has come to close European borders and enforce checks on everyone again just to prevent children being smuggled as clearly she has been.How did she get a passport for someone to take her? Or do people even need one any more? Sunday 18th May 2008-St David's Cathedral, Cardiff

On Sunday 18th May a Pontifical High Mass will be celebrated at St David's Cathedral in Cardiff at 11am. (0292025 1685). I am really pleased about this, because although I entered converted to the Catholic Faith during the time of the new Mass, I am so glad that we are all together again and applaud the Holy Father for beginning to heal the rift betweeen us, as he has tried to do with the Orthodox and with the Anglicans (ongoing negotiations) Christ wanted us to be in unity and I look forward to participating for the first time in this mass.

Apparantly there was an earthquake in Lincolnshire last night! We woke up as the room shook at 4in the morning. Of course not being completely awake I couldn't care less and yet this morning , just heard about it on the radio. It seems one man died when a chimney fell on him-strange at 4am, really and where he must have been standing, yet God rest his soul-and praise be to God for our protection from harm.

The sightings of Madeleine McCann in Weymouth and in France have gone into press silence. Something is not right here.Can't be right that she is seen (the pictures are all over he globe!)is very identifiable, witnesses are positive and yet they are all discarded and nothing further heard.What is going on? Can I ask everyone's prayers that the mystery is speedily resolved and the child returned?
