A Hilltop Farewell in Mountain Ash,Glamorgan
My husband, his sister and my son buried my father in Law (his ashes) on a mountain top near Miskin on Saturday, St David's Day. They climbed up a very steep moutain with a view of three counties and dug a small hole and placed his ashes inside. The sun shne brilliantly although the wind was chilling. Then they planted small wild daffodils all around the stone where he sat as a boy. My husband prayed over the ashes and my son played a Welsh Hymn and the National anthem and it was over.My Father in Law was in the place he loved best in all the world, although his spirit is gone of course. It was well done.
